- Biography
- Elaine is a commercial litigator. She has a background in large commercial, mining, property and building disputes requiring case management expertise, the ability to manage a large number of facts, witnesses and documents and promptly recognise which issues are important ones to pursue.
Elaine's practice expands into front-end strategic advice in the areas of Employment and Discrimination, WorkChoices, statutory compliance audits and the regulatory regimes in which commercial businesses operate. In this aspect of her practice, Elaine's experience as a litigator guides her approach and ability to avoid regulatory and contractual traps.
At Miller Harris Lawyers, Elaine has acted for a wide range of clients in litigation, alternative dispute resolution, statutory prosecutions and disciplinary hearings, including property developers, real estate agents, government owned corporations, builders, insurers, tourism operators, foreign governments and small business.
