Travis Lindenmayer

Travis is a retired Judge of the Family Court of Australia, on which he served for 26 years (including a total of 15 years as a member of the Appeal Division of the Court). Before his elevation to the bench (at age 36), Travis practised as a Barrister in Queensland for 13 years, during which he built up a wide general practice, with significant components of family law, common law (torts, contract, etc.), industrial law and some criminal law. During his time on the Family Court bench, Travis was involved, particularly, but not exclusively, through his work on the Appeal Division, in the formulation, development and application of many of the principles which continue to guide the determination of proceedings in the family law courts.
Practice Areas
Travis does not advise nor act for clients directly, but provides advice, assistance and mentoring to partners, associates, employed solicitors and paralegals of the firm, as required, on all matters within his areas of expertise and experience, particularly (but not confined to) family law and de facto relationship law.
