Vince is an experienced commercial lawyer who practises extensively in property, tax, corporate and estate planning. He acts for a number of major property developers, as well as a large number of private clients in tax and estate planning matters. Vince has comprehensive knowledge in his areas of practice, and a focused approach to his work.

Vince has extensive experience in major projects including:

  • Infrastructure Financing: Acting for the Mitsui Bank Consortium to finance gas turbine electricity generation infrastructure project in the Northern Territory.
  • Shopping Centres: The development of Casuarina City Shopping Centre in Darwin and Palmerston Shopping Centre in Palmerston, Northern Territory.
  • Public Fundraising: Due diligence investigations for public floats of various gold mining companies on the Australian Stock Exchange.
  • Tourist Accommodation: Planning, structuring, financing and operating arrangements to establish multi-staged, mixed use, tiered management community title development in Cairns.
  • Residential Land Developments: Forest Gardens, Redlynch Valley, Bella Vista Brinsmead, and The Lakes Cairns residential and tourist accommodation development.
  • Mining Projects: Acting for Mount Isa Mines Limited on tenure issues for the MacArthur River Mining Project in the Northern Territory.
  • Corporate Structuring: For Aboriginal groups to establish Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in Cairns; the Cape York Land Council to set up the distribution entity for royalties from Alcoa’s Ely River Bauxite Mining Project; and establishing the Balkanu Development Corporation to promote economic development of Cape York Aboriginal Communities.
  • Corporate Management: Putting in place innovative and customized corporate management arrangements for a licensed club including approvals from Queensland Liquor Licensing Division and Queensland Office of Gaming Regulation.
  • Private University: Establishing joint venture arrangements with an Australian tertiary education institution, acquiring proposed university CBD site from Queensland Rail, acquiring intellectual property and development rights from prior developer, obtaining accreditation and legislation for proposed university and advising on fund raising.

Vince is a member of the Tax Institute of Australia, Australian Institute of Management and the Financial Planning Association. He has delivered papers on revenue law at the 1996 and 2000 Northern Australian Accountants Professional Development Conference and the 2001 North Queensland Convention of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
