Nat Sacchetti

Flexible work arrangements and improving technology means that Nat Sacchetti can continue making a valuable contribution to Miller Harris Lawyers whilst working remotely from home.

Nat is a North Queensland local who joined Miller Harris Lawyers in 1992. Initially starting as a legal secretary, in 2006 Nat took on the important role of implementing and overseeing the firm’s quality assurance processes.  Nat was also heavily involved in implementing and overseeing the firm’s LawMaster practice and file management software which has enabled Miller Harris Lawyers to achieve a virtually paperless environment.  Nat presently works three days per week, two of which are undertaken from her home in Mirriwinni, some 70 kilometres south of Cairns.  “Miller Harris Lawyers’ investment in technology and an open minded approach to flexible working arrangements have enabled me to work as effectively from my home in Mirriwinni as if I were in the office in Cairns.  I love living in Mirriwinni, but if I had to commute to and from Cairns each day, it would have made life difficult.  My current arrangements ensure I have access to the systems and technology at home to enable me to undertake my role effectively.  I still value the one day a week I spend in the office as it is an opportunity to reconnect with my colleagues face to face each week which is important.”

Outside work at Miller Harris Lawyers, Nat’s spare time is taken up working on her family cane farm in Mirriwinni, spending time with family and friends and her other passion, riding and showing her western horses.
