Julie Hodge

Special Counsel

Julie is an experienced, skilful and dedicated family lawyer who has been assisting Australians and Australian families to resolve their separation and divorce issues since 2007.

Julie has extensive experience acting in all manner of family law issues including parenting, de facto and matrimonial property and divorce matters, spousal maintenance, domestic violence, child support and child protection issues.

Julie’s expertise has been recognised in the 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 Doyles Guide to the Australian Legal Profession in which she has been named in the list of Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers in North & Central Queensland.

Julie has been a member of the family law team at Miller Harris Lawyers since 2010 and handles matters at all stages, from initial advice to negotiations, mediation, drafting settlement documents (in the form of orders and financial agreements), commencing court action and conducting court cases and trials.

Julie is a trained collaborative law professional and focuses on assisting clients to resolve their family law issues (whether property or children’s matters) outside of the court system. However, she is also a skilful and experienced litigator.

Julie does not apply a “one size fits all” approach but assesses each client’s case individually and provides holistic advice, tailored to achieve the best outcome for her clients (and their families).
