Lauren has worked with Miller Harris since her admission to the legal profession.

She works primarily in wills and estate law, with an extensive background in property and commercial law.

As wills and estates law interconnects with different areas of the law, Lauren’s experience in these areas, provides her with the skill and ability to efficiently deal with the needs of her clients in all aspects of estate planning and estate administration.

She advises on all areas of wills and estates law including:

• the drafting of wills, enduring powers of attorneys, testamentary discretionary trusts, guardianship plans and superannuation death benefit nominations;
• providing succession advice with respect to family discretionary trusts, superannuation funds, companies and partnerships;
• administration of deceased estates including court applications for grants of probate, letters of administration, exemplifications and reseals, and the preparation of transmission and transfer documents to facilitate the transfer of estate assets, including real property;
• providing estate planning advice on tax implications and the risk of potential family provision applications;
• estate litigation, including contested probate applications, construction of will applications and family provision claim applications; and
• providing advice on elder law, including applications to the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) for administrators/guardians.
