Supporting local community

Miller Harris Lawyers believes in supporting our local community through fundraising, volunteering and providing academic sponsorship.

Some of these community partnerships include:

Send Hope Not Flowers

Miller Harris Lawyers has adopted a charity – Send Hope Not Flowers. The principal aim of Send Hope Not Flowers is to raise funds for life-saving maternal health programs in developing countries, particularly Papua New Guinea.

Send Hope Not Flowers has no administrative fees and no overhead costs so all funds raised go to projects on the ground.

For the past three years, Miller Harris Lawyers has hosted and coordinated an annual fundraising lunch which aims to raise both funds and awareness for the valuable work Send Hope Not Flowers is doing with some of our closest regional neighbours.

Over the past three years, this event has raised in excess of $60,000 in support of the Send Hope Not Flowers charity.

As well as a monetary contribution, the Miller Harris Lawyers’ team volunteer their time to coordinate and promote this fundraising event to ensure its ongoing success. To find out more about the fantastic work Send Hope Not Flowers is undertaking in our region, visit www.sendhope.org.
