Send Hope Not Flowers

Miller Harris Lawyers Partner Charity

Send Hope Not Flowers is an Australian charity dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes in developing countries. By funding the training of local health workers, supplying essential obstetric equipment, and constructing maternal waiting houses, the organisation works tirelessly to ensure safer childbirth experiences.

Miller Harris Lawyers has proudly supported Send Hope Not Flowers since 2013. Through annual fundraising events, including luncheons, we’ve raised over $140,000 to aid their life-saving initiatives. Our team also volunteers time and resources to organise and promote these events, reflecting our unwavering commitment to this cause.

Of the many projects supported by Send Hope Not Flowers, one particularly special for us was the establishment of “Melissa House,” a maternity unit in Papua New Guinea named in honour of our late colleague, Melissa Nielsen. Her dedication to supporting maternal health continues to inspire our ongoing partnership with Send Hope Not Flowers.
