Finian is a Partner in the litigation and dispute resolution team at Miller Harris Lawyers. He advises on commercial, employment, and insurance disputes, assisting clients both before and during litigation. Finian has represented executives, company directors, small to medium businesses, and national financial institutions in a wide variety of matters, and is focused on achieving cost-effective, practical outcomes. He understands that while litigation is often a last resort, it is sometimes necessary, and he approaches each matter with clarity and strategic focus.

With a background in employment law, Finian advises clients ranging from local businesses to some of North Queensland’s largest employers. He is experienced in navigating the statutory frameworks that govern employment disputes and brings a pragmatic, risk-aware approach to these matters. Prior to joining Miller Harris, Finian worked in defendant insurance litigation, representing leading insurers in high-value disputes. A lifelong resident of Cairns, he maintains a strong commitment to the local community.
