Finian is a solicitor in our litigation and dispute resolution division.  He deals principally with commercial, employment, and insurance disputes, both before and after those disputes are litigated.

Finian is a skilled communicator, who understands the importance of defining complex issues and producing practical results.  He has acted in a wide variety of litigated disputes, for clients ranging from individuals to national financial institutions.  He understands that litigation is a last resort, but often a necessary one, and he is committed to achieving cost-effective outcomes for his clients.

He is familiar with the unique statutory schemes that govern employment disputes, and he is well-equipped to navigate them in a pragmatic and risk-sensitive manner.Before working at Miller Harris Lawyers, Finian worked as a solicitor in the field of defendant insurance litigation.  In that field, he was involved in the pre-litigated and litigated defence of high-quantum insurance disputes, on behalf of leading state and national insurers.

Finian maintains a strong commitment to Far North Queensland, and is a lifelong resident of Cairns.
