Tim is a Partner at Miller Harris Lawyers with over 30 years’ experience in commercial litigation, corporations law, statutory compliance, and insolvency. Based in Cairns for more than 25 years, he has acted in complex disputes across almost every Australian jurisdiction, advising clients in industries ranging from health and education to government and private enterprise. He holds a Master of Laws and brings deep expertise in civil remedies, proprietary interests, and alternative dispute resolution.
Tim is known for his strategic, commercial approach and consistent delivery of high-quality service. He regularly advises liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, secured creditors, and government agencies on a range of insolvency matters, including reconstructions, administrations, and enforcement of secured creditor rights. In addition to his legal practice, Tim contributes to industry education through seminars and publications, with a particular focus on the implications of the Personal Property Securities Act.
