Our family law team

In addition, our Special Counsel Julie Hodge has been named by her peers in the Doyle’s Guide as a leading North Queensland Family and Divorce Lawyer in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

A significant source of our work is referrals from experts in aligned fields such as accountants, financial planners and mental health professionals, who trust in our expertise. We work closely alongside any experts that are needed for your particular matter.

Our approach and services

Our Cairns family lawyers understand that separation and divorce is one of the most traumatic life events a person will experience and tailor our approach to be sensitive to the needs of the individual client. Our advice is holistic and we are focused on achieving the best and most cost-effective outcome for every client. We work with clients from all over Australia to find solutions to their particular legal issues.

Our aim is to assist clients to resolve their family law issues by consent, outside of the Family Law Court system, so as to minimise conflict and avoid unnecessary stress, cost and delay. We offer our clients a wide range of services to achieve a successful outcome, including negotiation, mediation, arbitration and collaborative practise.

Our Cairns family lawyers are also skilled litigators. If a matter is unable to be resolved outside of the Family Law Court system, we provide expert representation at all stages of the Family Law Court and Domestic Violence proceedings.

Our firm has the depth of experience across commercial law, business law, property law, estate law and other fields to enable us to implement your settlement, advise and assist with financial restructuring and estate planning.
